My Evaluation Cake
This was the "Fancy Floral Cake" that was required for our mid-term evaluation. We were not only graded on design and technique, but also on our speed. Mine wasn't too bad, but I didn't care for the color or how my rosebuds came out (I went with a color that was already mixed to save time, I prefer muted colors to the bright barbie ones). I need more practice. I do love the reverse shell border though. All in all, this is the kind of design my grandmother would have loved... but it's waaaaay too girly for me.
And looking at it now, I can see quite a few things I messed up on. Gotta stop looking at it.
